Test for Chim-Scan® Factory Trained (CSFT) Technician and for the Internal Chimney Scanning Technician
Our goal for both Technicians is to have the knowledge to scan a chimney flue, obtaining crisp, quality pictures and videos for proper documentation per the National Fire Protection Association Standard (NFPA) 211 and the Annex Inspection Points.
​Since this test is an open book, we have created an answer scenario where one, two, three, or all the answers are correct. We feel the test-taker will thoroughly understand the content or know where to find it.
The test requires a 85% passing score. It is an open-book test, and every answer will be worth one point. 
Upon completion of the test, the taker will receive a Certificate via email and a patch/badge.

Computer, iPad, or Android tablet work the best as you will able to view the test better.

Take Test for Certificate only (NO CEU's)

Please note that upon purchasing the either book you get one test free but NO CEUs.  You will have one month to take the test after purchase

1. Go to the Shop and Purchase Chim-Scan® Users Test for $50  or Non-Chim-Scan® User Test 
2. Download PDF 
3. Click link inside PDF and use provided Password.
(The password will be changed once a month - if you purchase access to the test and it's close to the beginning or end of the month, you may need to email for new password)
4. Take test - if you pass the test your certificate will be automatically emailed to you.

Get CEU's and Take the Test

To get CEU's  you must watch a 2.5 hour course which is hosted by CVC Virtual Academy- online training. After watching the course and you will have another two hours to take the test. Once your finished, please email the filled out CVC base camp fillable CEU form with Course Number PDF to [email protected]
Steps 
1. Go to Shop and Purchase Test with CEUs for $150 
2. Download the two PDF's - one of these is CVC base camp fillable CEU form with Course Number and the other has two links.
3. Click on Link and fill out quick form that's sent to CVC.
(If you are a member of CVC, you should see the course appear in your account.
If you are not a member, don't worry they will send you an intro email on how to access the course.) YOU DO NOT need to be a member of CVC to gain access to this course.
4. Watch course, fill out PDF, send PDF to [email protected]
5.Go to PDF that came with purchase and click the link for the test.
6. Click link inside PDF and use provided Password.

7. Take test - if you pass the test your certificate will be automatically emailed to you.
