The Chim-Scan® Factory Trained Technician (CSFT Tech) program provides an intensive course with a procedural process for scanning a variety of chimneys. Correctly scanning a chimney requires a special skill set.
We start with the setup and take you step-by-step through the entire process. The course includes the proper operation of the chimney camera video and picture system through various setups as well as home protection and PPE requirements. It also includes various conditions, image interpretation, chimney verification, proof of process, Scope of the Levels of Inspection, degrees of access, photo samples of commonly seen defects with the cause, and it moves step-by-step through five installation types. Note: the images below are combined into the five chapters. All are covered in detail. |
We cover a scanning process for every chimney type shown below.
Looking for personal hands-on chimney inspection and documentation training? We can do this.
Our trainer, Tom Urban, has conducted classes for chimney sweeps, hearth professionals and home inspectors.
Tom's specialty is scanning and documentation of the chimney, fireplace, and appliance installations. Because he has a chimney sweeping background, and is an industry instructor, Tom knows the ins and outs of what to look for. Whether you have one technician or twelve, Tom can provide the training needed to complete those challenging jobs in the field. |
